Beautifully written and so fun to be on Ibiza with Grace. I could absolutely feel her veins.her grief, her old age, her isolation..I could also completely feel that magic of the water, the orange juice and the sun. It’s beautiful. I feel so lucky to have gotten to read an advanced copy! I love the idea that we aren’t not Islands but deep down all connected, and I do love me some magical realism…just a little too much for me maybe with the talking goat….I really love The Midnight Library so maybe my expectations were just too high; an alien being and the ability to feel and connect…
