This is just the most saddest thriller-est book I can’t stop recommending! It is a sad one though; it looks at what families go through when someone goes missing; the victims family yes but also the accused. One I started this one I just sat and read the day away, I felt a sense that I couldn’t leave these people and not bear witness. Of course you look at the family as they are pleaing for information and I have looked at the person supporting an accused as they walk into court but I haven’t sat with it like I have now. Such an insightful thriller. And it is still a thriller; there are twists and turns and so many things I did not see coming…this is such compulsive reading, but I do worry I was being entertained by a tragedy. It does have real life feels. And it is sad. But I completely could not put it down.
