What a debut!!!!! I could see iluka so clearly, ‘the cottage peering over the bush to the sea’..the setting was so well done! And what a plot..dead grandparents and a house clearing are just the beginning! What a character driven novel..I loved seeing the story playing out through Tig’s uni film assignment.. I thought the
This felt like it was written for me. Lots of waitressing references, lots of striving without actually getting anywhere feels (universal themes amiright..) I thought the writing was absolutely perfect; beautiful sentences without being overwritten..just such a beautiful discussion on grief and loneliness. Beautiful. Love every thing about it.
