I’ve just come back from the most glorious armchair travel! Love, adventure, murder and espionage…this novel has it all!!!!! I loved Veronica and her three loves, I wasn’t at all surprised to read Veronica was based on real female war correspondents and adored being in post war Italy….where bread talks, tiny yellow buttercups peek out from the cracks of walls and there is an Oggie the cat. This was such a treat and my new favourite Belinda Alexandra…it’s the whole package!!!!! This was another novel we got to deep die into for the Wondering Women Read and we loved it so much!
