Just go (read it hahaha) I’m so not the target market for this memoir but I couldn’t have gotten more out of it. What an inspiration. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought to read about a BMX rider’s quest for Olympic gold, what a super power..
I was also lucky enough o have met Saya Sakakibara at Dymocks Eastgate, and he was just such a honey! We gave her a Dymocks pin and you would have thought it was another Olympic Gold Medal! Of course now I have seen the Australian Story ep and went down a BMX rabbit hole of the Sakakibara races, what a family! What a story!
