We’ve all seen the excerpts, you know it’s going to be difficult reading, obviously I know sex trafficking is abhorrent..I kind of didn’t think I needed to put myself through Jenna’s history; but I am so glad to have bore witness. As heartbreaking and tragic as you think it will be; but also so full of resilience, empowerment and advocacy..I’m so glad I read it
I would have felt way more comfortable if I’d been able to think this level of hiding in plain sight and abuse was only something that happened in the past, I would love not to know that actually this life was led while I was an adult, blissfully not being aware; that poor thing. Those poor victims. This is something our society can say no to and I am ashamed I didn’t even know it was happening feels.
