I could not have loved this book; the characters, the language or themes more! I love first lust, lasting love, the love for children, the love for a husband books and this just had it all. I also loved the quiet, methodical feel of the novel, I read it like slow summer lazy read where you have the the perfect amount of shade, breeze and snacks on hand and you are just reading the day away. For me it was perfect. I just loved the whole experience. Nothing shocking, nothing terribly sad…like the perfect pandemic novel? Did I mention I loved it? SO much!!
