I LOVE Dave Burrows and delight in any new novel featuring him but especially his earlier years; now I really know him feels haha. This story was a complete suspense; I had absolutely no idea what had happened to Leo and Coffee. It was great being on the job with Detective Dave Burrows as he follows the trail. I loved the opportunity to think about farm secession planning, mateship and mentoring in the police force and the day to day life of a defective. I’m a great Fleur McDonald fan so it’s always nice to get that bit more..loved it!! This will be such a fun one for the hay rollers bookclub!!!
