The Rose Code

What a brilliant novel. It felt too short 😎 this is everything I love in historical fiction; real people living through extraordinary events. I feel like Mab, Osla and Beth are my friends. I feel like I know the layout of Bletchley Park. What it must have been like to lived and fought in the home front. All that secrecy and suspicion. All that marg and rationing. The casual racism ‘you don’t belong in this country’, the casual judgement ‘witless bloody debs’.., the casual sexism ‘I’m only allowed this work because there’s a war on..I still don’t get paid what you’re paid’..the camaraderie of the BP family. I loved every single page. Cannot wait to read more Kate Quinn!!!!
