We just had book week here last week and it was all just too cute; mini Harrys and Matildas, Ballerina’s and Dalmatian’s were everywhere! My nieces had theirs on Thursday and I was lucky enough to go to the school and watch the parade. It was all so gorgeous. I definitely remember book week from my primary school days, but not the dress up. Its such a great way to connect with books. I overheard my niece telling her friend about Mim, the character she had dressed up as. She explained the series; Mim travels with her father and brother in the bookshop, they see the world and make friends and have adventures she explained to her friend…for me it just felt the fate of books and reading is in such safe hands when ten year olds are advocating for the love of books and reading like this! She even offered to lend her friend the copy of Mim and the Baffling Bully. It was SO sweet.
