I had a huge weekend of family this weekend, I slept over my little nephews house on Friday night and watched my nieces play netball on Saturday. My sister is renovating their house now so I also got to hang with the girls Sunday while they packed and dismantled everything.
It really messed with my own reading plans, but I had the most fun getting to experience the love of books and reading with my family. Both sets of family have the cutest bookshelves and designated reading spots and it was SO lovely to see the next generation getting to fall in love with books and reading.
My nephew was so excited to show me what he picked out from the library on Friday and he was just so cute when he was recounting the story of the book he had just returned; he’s in kindy so everything is just so fresh and new.
My ten year old niece on Saturday was telling me about a book she was sorry was due back to the library otherwise she could have let me read it first, it was We Are Wolves and I am sorry to have missed out on it, it is actually on my list, that girl has the best taste!
It was just so nice to witness, they both know I am a bookie, but I really think they’re love is genuine. I guess time will tell, but how lovely is it to share the love of reading.
