Major Pettigrew’s Last Stand

I so enjoyed this book. Such a quiet, lovely book to read. The seriousness of it slips in beautifully. Grief and loneliness, British class structure and race relations are all in there. It’s just so gently done. I loved the small town. I loved the characters. Bless that Roger. Loved it all
