So atmospheric!!!!!!!! So loved this! one!!! So clever and so creepy!!!! SO glad we are doing it for bookclub because this has been on my TBR list for years!!!!!! A young rich heir, a mysterious older woman, all the propriety and society stratification, possibly poison…ahhhh perfect!!!!!!!
I read Rebecca incorrectly; hahah too young and so romantically minded; even after it all I was still like that’s OK, not his fault; gosh that Rebecca was a cow…OMG SO I think I took it out on Rachel; I was expecting there worst in her, which maybe made me more ‘gosh the patriarchy!! The wealth!! The privilege..hang on WHAT!!!!!!’
I was definitely in the minority at bookclub! And isn’t that what bookclub is all about!!
