Hahaha, the title is almost as long as the novel. It’s a shortie, but weeks later I’m still thinking about it. Goodness, what a gothic tale full of foreboding! Beautifully written (obviously) beautifully created characters (obviously) so glad I had the opportunity to read it. Joyce Carol Oates is an institution for a reason, this was just so well done, and interestingly enough my colleague that recommended it to me read the ending so differently to the way I did! What do you think happened to her sister?
