A more moving novel I haven’t read x for me this is perfect. I loved and knew Harold, Maureen, David, Queenie and Rex..I could completely see the English countryside Harold was walking through in his yachting shoes…the fallen leafy branches and velvet pads of moss..I loved the discussion on loneliness and the image of the dress wrapped in the embrace of the blue cardigan just brought tears to my eyes.. I loved it and am not even wary of call it a wonderful, touching, charming and poignant novel; it is x
