Whew!! I could not put that down!! What a great read!! I loved it!! As a book lover I completely love the idea of being a librarian that can ‘hear her name being called’ whenever someone needs printer help and a private cupboard sounds completely heaven. All the book references and recommendations were so great; I know the Secret Life of Shirley made a great bookclub book! There are so many fun insights and when Fern pours the water to create a ‘wacky incident’ I completely laughed my mouthful of water all over the page. I was completely there for someone with the ‘sensory issues’ and all the people that are her people. I loved Rose with her red unworn gumboots. I have three sisters and it completely is ‘sunshine and guts. Lollipops and blood’. Absolutely loved it |
